This is Gladys’ easy triple spicy chicken coated in secret sauce. Packed full of tender chicken and chili, including sambal oelek chili paste. Simple and fast to make for a great weeknight dinner.

  • 1 large skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cooking oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1/3 cup sambal oelek chili paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 tablespoon water

  • 20 dried red chili peppers
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeno peppers, sliced


1.  In a bowl, add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon oil, and 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch to chicken and toss to coat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or overnight.

2.  In a separate bowl, mix together 1/3 cup samal oelek, 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch, and 1/2 tablespoon water.

3.  Heat wok with oil and cook chicken on high until well done. Drain and set aside. Stir fry dried chilies in lightly oiled wok on high for 10 seconds. Add in chicken, pepper sauce, and a pinch of salt and stir fry for 30 seconds. Add jalapenos and stir fry for another 30 seconds.
