This Indian prawn recipe produces fried prawns with a complex flavor thanks to the addition of mustard seeds, garlic and tumeric along with grated coconut.


Ingredients

  • 8 deveined prawns
  • 1 cup coconut, grated
  • 5 dry chilis
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric powder
  • 6 teaspoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt, to taste

Preparation

1.  Grind coconut, dry chilis, and some water into fine paste.

2.  Fry mustard seeds and garlic in oil. Add tumeric and coconut mix. Add prawns and salt to taste. Close wok and cook for approximately 15 minutes. Add lime juice. Serve with rice.
