Fish Sauce

Fish sauce, also known as “nam pla” in Thai/Laotian, literally means “fish water.” Fish sauce is used as a substitute for salt or soy sauce in Southeast Asian cuisine. It can be used in stir fry’s, soups, curries, condiments, or just about every savory dish that calls for salt.
